Porcupine Meatball Blues: Friday, April 11th!

I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use. -Galileo Galilei, physicist and astronomer (1564-1642)

P, Sounds like a fun night with a little Eastside pride on Dusty's shout. as it happens I am getting routine lab tests myself this morning -- nothing quite as invasive. I have to fast until the tests and then I will eat big and will be ready to ride after that time. An 11:AM start would work for me. Let me know what you are thinkin. W

[So.... this is happening today. The most amazing caramel bacon bourbon brownies from our awesome friends @pigonthestreer mixed into some salted chocolate ice cream. Bring on the weekend! (Available in scoops only @ Fraser St, Earnest Ice Cream]

Dear Saint Neot! (in case you misremember to whom you are related: a Glastonbury monk who died in 877, the patron saint of fish. He was also reportedly only 15 inches tall and spent his days in a well, water up to his neck, practicing his devotions! I suppose he was the first to use the Snorkelflugelgismo when the well water level rose. Obviously, there were some rather taller nuns, in the wishing well, so to speak, along the way, as I've often heard rumours that The Whinging Tigers refer to you at George the Giraffe!)

‘Plain Words’, by Sir Ernest Gowers,
Once your blood sugar is back to normal, 11:00 am kick-off sounds fine. Just let me know where you'd like to go. If to Iona I'd prefer to meet you at Cambie SkyTrain Bridge as I'll leave earlier and ride out Marine to rendezvous locazzione. We could go on to Queensborough if you have time, energy, inclination or to Stinkoville if not. Again, Mr Flexible awaits your command. Cheers, Patrizzio, aka Saint Drogo, patron saint of coffee and coffeehouses, as well as ugly people and cattle. Now there's a combo!

Pics: Bistro Wagon Rouge lasterevening. Last shot at restaurant is of Ross Larkin who is leaving to start a restaurant of his own back in St John's, his hometown! I've invited him to pop by on Monday evening to have a malt or two and to meet Sarge/Flamin'. who knows, maybe he plays bridge ann you could join us! My hommage to Viv's selfies, taken in elevator at Cheap Thrills, after I dropped gang at home, for a milk run!

P, 11:AM at the Skytrain bridge works for me. See you there. If the plan changes call me. I will copy Ray in case he is so inclined. W

Ray, I can come by if interested. G
Just heading out to the gym. My daughter returned home for 10 days , so spending a bit of time with her and continuing with seeding Will get going on the bike again soon. Ray                         Hi Lads:

If I arrive before 11:00 am I'll proceed over bridge to circle endlessly through and back the new development, Parc Riviera, as you head east along River Road, between foot of bridge and Shell Road. We can then make our way to Iona. Cheers, Whirling Dervish Dunn!
P, just a reminder to both of us that I have this VPL copy for you. Due April 27th. I could bring it to you today or... W

P, Thanks for ride - perfect for me. Cobby ducked out of work early so I could not hand off the computer or drpp off the Aquin. I will leave behind the burl or will drop off when close to HBT. W

To my surprise, Charlie is getting back on court tomorrow and so am I. Enjoy your ride. It is going to be nice. W

Hi St Hubertus!

Thanks, I would like copy as I'm ready to read it and then can have it back well before due date, perhaps for other non-readers! I'll collect it later today or domani. Thanks, again. Cheers, Il Conduttore!                                    I’m just wondering you saw the FB invite for Marvin’s stag. His bast man is trying to plan a chartered fishing trip on May 1st. Cost will be around $100 for the day. If you would like to go she is looking for a commitment to  schedule the appropriate sized yacht. Please confirm either way.
Paul I do not have Rogers email so if you could send it to him.

Hello Fishermen All! I'm delighted to participate! Cheers, Sailfish Dunn!

Are you biking tomorrow. I want to bike to my office and back. I plan to leave around 9. Not sure if you are interested. No prob either way. Wayne

Hi Sarge!

Here is the address I have for Nadienka. I'm keen to ride tomorrow so I'll be ready to leave by 8:45 am. Are you planning to go out via Marine/UBC/River Road/Alex Fraser or Central Greenway/New West/Patullo. Either is fine.

See you at 8 45. Go wherever. Wayne  Roger! Over and Out!

Had a grand outing today, with Giorgio. I met him at CSTB. Took Marine to there as he had a medical appointment earlier so I left home in enough time to meet at just past 11:00 am. Out to Iona and then up Heather. I left him at Pine Crescent and 37th and continued out to UBC. Then home. Stats for ride:

Hello Constant Gardner!

I'm sure your backyard will be fab when finally finished. You can have a party and invite all the Peloton!
If you are interested, perhaps we can plan a ride on Sunday. Let me know your schedule and we'll plan accordingly. Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Bistro Wagon Rouge and dessert back at loft!

Gowers' advice:

1. "Use no more words than are necessary to express your meaning, for if you use more you are likely to obscure it and tire your reader.

2. Use familiar words than the far fetched, if they express your meaning equally well; for the familiar are more likely to be readily understood.

3. Use words with a precise meaning, rather than those that are vague, for the precise will obviously serve better to make your meaning clear."
