Action is eloquence. -William Shakespeare, playwright and poet (1564-1616)
The Chandos portrait, artist and authenticity unconfirmed. National Portrait Gallery, London.
William Shakespeare (26 April 1564 (baptised) – 23 April 1616), was an English poet, playwright and actor, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist. He is often called England's national poet and the "Bard of Avon". His extant works, including some collaborations, consist of about 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and a few other verses, the authorship of some of which is uncertain. His plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed more often than those of any other playwright.
The word "Yes!" will be
installed this fall in tall red letters on the curved glass wall to the
north of the Main Boulder Public Library's entrance, the city announced
Tuesday."The iconic image of Yes! will be a must-see for visitors to Boulder, and a legacy to our growing collection of public art," City Manager Jane Brautigam said in a statement.
[The fractional-cent tax has become entrenched over the years. Consumers, over time, have become used to the fractional cent's inclusion and likely ignore it. In turn, gas retailers use it to their advantage. Instead of pricing gas a $3.99 a gallon, it’s priced at $3.999 simply because consumers don’t tend to recognize the difference. All those overlooked parts of a penny add up, too; nationwide, those nine-tenths total up to around $200 million to $400 million of additional revenue each year.]
Hi Mr Fjord! Trust your European junket went well. Had a very busy Easter weekend ourselves. All in all, a wonderful, wonderful weekend with rides, food, friends, family and hootch! Fondestos from Coriandre to you, Mr Fjord! Cheers, Patrizzio!

It seems to me that although, or rather, because your argument for reading The Time Regulation Institute is such an extremely cogent one, it is, finally, a lethal, subversive attack on the very foundations of the NRBC, and the recently, democratically instituted set of fines, joyously embraced, in fits of hyper-self-criticism/flagellation by its contrite, wayward members. This being the case I suggest that both 1984 and The Trial be required reading for the next gathering. Those not complying will endure Big Brother's punishment, (electroshock), for "thoughtcrime" and/or suffer K's fate, "Like a dog!"
Note from Thinkpol: The above Newspeak press release from the Ministry of Truth, (Minitrue), on behalf of the Inner Party, written in doublethink, will be aired on Telescreen across Oceania, with accompanying Ingsoc translations for Proles. $5 fine for not watching! PS: Oy vey ist mir in spades!
Hello Naramtian Jet-Setters, wherever you are!
Trust your European/North African junket goes well. Have not been to Morocco since 1970. Hash cookies and kif, (kaif, keef, kef or kief), from the casbah. Sex, drugs and rock and roll! Not very much has changed for us, has it? Glad your Tibetan Plateau levitation/meditation trip was so successful. Will you be sharing your transcendental, out-of-body techniques with the swamis in Inja next year?
Fondestos from Coriandre to you both. She left earlier this morning for the Elder Hostel Book Club she is leading! What's new? Happy Trails! Cheers, Patrizzio!
Hi Redruthians!
Trust you are both well after feasting over Easter! Thought of you two last Thursday at Long Table Distillery. We were served by the very engaging owner/distiller, Charles Tremewen. When I asked him about his last name he said his family stems from Cornwall so perhaps you are related! Fondestos from Cora Lee to you both. Cheers, Patrizzio!
Very funny. Is bridge on tonight? Mick
Hi Pat and David! Trust you are both well after feasting over Easter! Thought of you two last evening when watching our CBC late news. There was a fairly lengthy feature on eCars and Tesla featured quite prominently! We'll certainly be the talk of the town when you two hit town!!! For our part, enjoyed a wonderful Easter weekend.

Hi Tart and Tramp! Trust you are both well after feasting over Easter! Thanks for great pics! Cheers, Patrizzio!
Hi Raymond! Your mention of the neighbour running with the plastic bucket over his head had me chortling! Fondestos from Coriandre to you both. Cheers, Patrizzio!
Hi Villa Vicente Accipter Observatory Staff!
Thanks such much for pursuing identification process. (And to your panel of experts, as well, of course!) I knew I could count on you Bay Area bird watching fiends! Perhaps I'll attach a GoCam to my helmet and have you do live identification of feathered critters I encounter on my rides out to Iona. Scads of birders out there with telephoto lenses that reach half-way to Vancouver Island! Cheers, Patrizzio!
"A wedding" is hardly the the proper degree of pomp that is required by the nuptials of the gorgeous Ms. Nicole. Please give her an extra (genteel) hug from the fellow who simply could not follow her moves on the basketball court!!! Best wishes to the gorgeous couple in general from the crew at Villa V.! Hip Hip Hooray!!!! Cactus Hi Newlyweds to be!
Hi Wild Bill! Absolutely delighted to learn that macular degeneration has been controlled and that you are now able to drive! Sounds like VRC is visiting you as well. Glad your back is better. Your two trips sound terrific. We are only travelling "locally" this summer as well but still looking forward to celebrating Corinne's parent's 69th wedding anniversary in Manitoba this August. Large family reunion. Cheers, Patrizzio!
Hi Patrice Sounds like a fun and interesting weekend you had as well! glad to hear. The restaurant is called Alux and here’s a link for some info and you can Google that name with Playa del Carmen as a suffix for a lot of info. I would really try and get by there as it really is amazing: http://www.aluxrestaurant.com/
Another recommendation would be to do some swimming in the beautiful cenotes around in the Riviera Maya, I can’t remember exactly the name of the one that we went to but will see if Colleen remembers. there are 7000 of them in and around Playa and Cancun and they are beautiful!!. I would suggest asking some locals where you could go for free as there are many around but not advertised because of course they want you to pay. Talk to you again soon,
Cheers, Al
Nice to hear from you Patrick. On a cruise and email is a costly challenge. Suffice to say we are about to transit the Panama Canal on Fri the 25th. Should see some friends on their sailboat there from the ship. Won't be home until May 10. Keep well, Bill & Denise.
Excellent Pat – when do you return from Mexico? I’ll wait to send along your home remedies to Tia when she is of age J! Kerry PS I had a good look at the pens that Tia has been raving about and they are extraordinary – she absolutely loves them.
Had an appointment with Travel Clinic, 8th and Ash, yesterday, at 4:40 pm for my last Hepatitis A3/B3 shot so I left from there to do a "fun" ride, (Yes, this is what things have come to since Whirlygig went south!), to Stanley Park. Then to Canada Place and then a Seawall circumvention of SP since I've not ridden this pathway in ages. Back at Second Beach I did two Lost Lagoon Loops and then made for home. Quite chuffed as rain was forecast for 6:00 pm but sky, though darkly cloudy in many places, shed not a drop. Home by 7:15 pm to have a late dinner with Elder Hostel Book Club leader, Coriandre, and watched Looper, a mildy interesting future/time-travel flic with Bruce Willis as protagonist's "older" self, back from the future, to change things!
Stats for today's ride: 54.30 km over 2:42'30 for an AVG 20.0 km/hr
